Markforged Mark Two
The Markforged Mark Two for 3D Printing of Continuous Fibre Reinforced Plastics
Materials that can be printed on the Mark Two are: ONYX, Fibreglass, Carbon Fibre, Kevlar & High Temperature Fibreglass.
Mark Two Maximum Part Size: 320 x 132 x 154mm
Mark Two Maximum Part Weight: 16kg
The Markforged Mark Two desktop 3D printer was developed to overcome the strength limitations inherent in many 3D printing materials. The Markforged Mark Two printer is the worlds first 3D printer to print composite materials. Now functional parts, tools and devices can be printed with a much better strength-to-weight ratio.
On the Mark Two fundamentally, the difference driving the stability of a component is the endless fibres of a component printed with carbon fibre, fibreglass or kevlar. However, the carbon fibre component is optimally designed for tensile and compressive forces only when the carbon fibre is not broken. Therefore it is crucial for the stability of your printed component that you use continuous carbon fibre, kevlar or fibreglass.
FFF (Fused Filament Fabrication) is the basic principle of this 3D printing technology, in which the outer contours are printed in nylon material and the inner workings of the component are provided with continuous fibres. The 3D pirnter actively switches between two nozzles during the printing process to produce amazingly robust fibre-reinforced plastic parts in just one construction process. The continuous fibre printing technology is called Continuous Filament Fabrication (CFF)
* Precision, Quality, Design - New Generation 3D Printing *
Due to their high strength, stability and rigidity, the manufactured components are convincing for various materials with excellent surfaces.
* The Eiger Software *
An innovative, stable and above all, easy-to-use platform designed to reduce the users workload as much as possible. Furthermore, the EIGER software is cloud based, which means that the software is always up to date. From your PC, you can load the 3D print jobs into the cloud based EIGER software via your browser. The 3D printer can be controlled via LAN cable, USB and W-LAN. The software allows you to manage and catalogue your STL files.
Thanks to the ease of use, you can intelligently provide your components interior with support structures and completely automatically furnish layer by layer in the selected region of the component with the endless fibre. The fibre density can be changed per layer via a simple slider in the software. Thus, you can design your component perfectly to your force and print out.
The printing process can be paused to embed components into your print. You can thus integrate electronics, sensors, ball bearings etc into your component easily.
